Settling

Settling into a routine, getting more familiar with the practices around here. Today I gave lectures on recurrent miscarriage and 3rd trimester bleeding, and they went well.

I have been working with the residents daily on their ultrasound skills, especially, as it is an interest of mine.

A radiologist friend in Fairbanks has been helpful when I have questions about any ultrasound scans I do.  Amazing what connectivity we have these days. The residents are in contact with infectious disease specialists with their HIV positive patients (higher rate here than the states) and have a gyn oncology specialist to talk with when they have questions about the cancer patients.

Ultrasound image of fetal head taken with my camera of the screen.

    1. It is just the fetal head in cross section. The two lateral ventricles are seen as dark spots. I figured I'd put a picture up there since it was one of the only pics I took today.
